| Combining its advanced technology and nearly five decades of
experience in the solid waste and recycling industries, Taormina Industries designed and
built one of the largest and most efficient recycling centers in the nation. The CVT Regional Material Recovery Facility utilizes sophisticated automated separation techniques in tandem with manual sorting procedures. The result is a fast and efficient process which maximizes the recycling and recovery potential of materials processed through the facility. The CVT Regional Material Recovery Facility represents Phase II of a multi-phased project. Phase I was the building of the CVT Waste Transfer Center and the implementation of automated recycling programs which are now integrated into the facility. |
Phase III will include specialized on-site manufacturing
facilities for processing recyclables directly into "new" products. Thus, the
cycle will be complete. The waste stream processed at the CVT Regional Recovery Facility is primarily gathered from Taormina Industries' collection companies via exclusive municipal contracts with cities throughout Orange County as well as from other Southern California municipalities, commercial haulers and public customers. The CVT Regional Material Recovery Facility also processes segregated recyclable materials from various sources throughout the western United States.
